Well, as I’m studying
pedagogy, the greatest interest I have is working with communities, so I don't
just expect to work in schools or kindergarden only with children. I would like
to work in heritage places, where there is a multidisciplinary work with
different professionals who contribute to the construction of knowledge with
the communities that link these spaces.
I believe that working in
these non conventional spaces can allow teaching and learning to expand in a
globalizing perspective. I imagine interacting directly with children, families
and teachers, inviting them to get to know their culture and get involved in
it, through workshops with schools, kindergardens and in addition with the
surrounding communities.
About traveling, it would
be relevant to get to know other countries and how they work on their culture
and teach it to be able to integrate and improve the curriculum in this area in
preschool education. I also hope to work in statal places like museums or
libraries, so I hope that the salary is decent and compensatory to the work of
a pedagogue.
I would like to study
more in depth topics of my interest to be able to investigate and enrich my
knowledge and help transform the country's educational system and the
perspective of it. I would also like to visibilize the work of preschool
educators and the impact that these levels have on children in the future.
Hello Ivana, since the last semester (in pre-intermediate) I've realized thanks to you and your mates that the early childhood education is more than kindergarten. In the sociology departament they put a quote that pointed out "the education depends of sociology" but I think that sociology depends of the link building that your profession aim.
